Veteran's Help - Get the cake and eat it too!!

John was fighting in Vietnam when he was wounded. Had shrapnel hit him in the leg. The VA took very good care of him and I have no complaints about the VA's treatment here in this case. The part I don't understand is that now, and ever since his injury he has been paid 80% disability for the one leg. He seems to have no problem getting around. (I'm sure there are things I don't know about) The part I don't understand is: I have both legs injured in the service and have a hard time getting around and the VA gives me 30% on each leg! (unable to work) This Vet works full time and receves 80% disability from the VA. I do not want this Vet to lose anything! I'm happy for him. (What's this all about?)
